Westinghouse Cozy Glow Kid Doll-
This is a doll that was created in the 1920's by the Westinghouse Company. It was sold only to the employees. The lady I received it from said her mother worked for Westinghouse at that time and received the doll. As a child she could not play with it. Thus, it has remained in like new condition.
I have tried to find any information on this doll in various doll books and have found nothing. The doll is a little over 12" high as you can see in the photos. As I said it is like new with just a couple very small blemishes on the top of head where it may have laid in a box. There is also a small surface blemish of about 1/8" that I tried to photograph on the left shoulder. In the photo it appears that there is a chip on the right toe that is NOT there.
It is made of what I would call paper mache`, or some rather light material. It weighs about 5 1/2 ounces. I think in the art world there is another word for paper mache`. I feel that because of its rarity I feel the doll should be worth $300 but would be willing to listen to any decent offers.
If anyone has any knowledge of this doll I would welcome it. Thanks for looking at this item on my web site page. Dick rdcark@aol.com
